Covid +ve JMM MLA complains of breathing trouble, shifted to TMH | Ranchi News

Sindri: JMM MLA Mathura Prasad Mahto, who tested positive for Covid-19 and was admitted to Patliputra Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) in Dhanbad on July 5, was shifted to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) in Jamshedpur on Tuesday night after he complained of breathing troubles. Along with the MLA, a Covid-positive doctor of the hospital was also referred to TMH.
The MLA had developed fever on Tuesday, following which, an X-ray was conducted and a CT scan was conducted at PMCH in the evening.
The CT scan report revealed that both Mahto and the doctor were suffering from pneumonia. Confirming the news, PMCH principal Dr Shailendra Kumar said, “There were traces of pneumonia in their reports and, therefore, they were shifted to a better medical facility.”
Notably, the duo remained unhurt after the ambulance carrying them to TMH ran into a drum kept on the road by police.
