Himachal pradesh covid: Covid-19: 9 positive cases in Himachal Pradesh; tally mounts to 340 | Shimla News

SHIMLA: Nine positive cases for Covid-19 were reported in Himachal Pradesh on Monday. While four cases were reported from Chamba district, two cases were reported from Solan district and one case each from Hamirpur, Mandi and Una districts.
Those tested positive had returned from Mumbai, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Haryana. Now tally of total positive cases in the state has increased to 340 of which 213 cases are active. In the state two positive patients from Solan districts have recovered.
Those tested positive in Chamba district include a 29-year-old male from Sirmaur who had returned from Delhi to meet his brother and two others – 27 years old male and 18 years old male – from Churah who had returned from Tamilnadu. All of them were in institutional quarantine at Banikhet. They were asymptomatic and now they are being shifted to Dedicated Covid Care Centre at Balu. A 63 years old female who had returned from Delhi and was in institutional quarantine centre has tested positive and she is being shifted to Covid Care Centre Dalhousie.
In Solan, two persons from Ramshahar in Nalagarh sub-division who had returned from Kolkata and Haryana in May and were in institutional quarantine have tested positive. They have been shifted to ESIC Hospital Katha which is dedicated Covid hospital.
In Mandi district one 33 years old male who had recently returned to Naulakha in Sundernagar from Mumbai and was quarantined in a hotel has tested positive. He had returned with eight others in a vehicle and now their samples are also being taken.
In Hamirpur district a 46 years old male from Bajuri near Hamirpur who had returned from Delhi on May 29 and was in institutional quarantine near Bhota has tested positive. In Una district, a 24 years old male from Bangana who had returned from Mumbai and was in institutional quarantine has tested positive.
As on Monday, Bilaspur district has total 18 positive cases of which 11 are active while seven have recovered, Chamba district has total 24 positive cases of which 13 are active while 11 have recovered, Hamirpur district has total 112 positive cases of which 81 are active, 30 have recovered while one positive patient has died, Kangra district has total 87 positive cases of which 54 are active, 32 have recovered while one has died and Mandi district has total 13 positive cases of which seven are active, 4 have recovered while two have died.
Shimla district has total nine positive cases of which seven are active, one has recovered while one has died, Sirmaur district has total four positive cases of which two are active while two have recovered, Solan district has total 32 positive cases of which 18 are active, 10 have recovered while four have migrated out of state, Kullu district has total two positive cases of which one has recovered while one is active, and Una district has total 39 positive cases of which 19 are active while 20 have recovered.
A total of 42,400 persons were put under surveillance in the state till Monday, of them 18928 have completed their 28 days of surveillance, while 23472 are under active surveillance. So far 37897 people have been tested for Covid-19, of which 37233 have tested negative and 340 have tested positive, 118 have been cured while results of 324 samples are awaited.
