Lawyer approaches HC over AAP government’s decision to seal Delhi borders | Delhi News

Delhi high court

NEW DELHI: A lawyer has approached the Delhi high court challenging government’s decision to seal capital’s borders for a week.
The plea was mentioned and filed in HC by advocate Kusagra Kumar, on the ground that it is “an illogical, irrational, unreasonable and unconstitutional order.”
Kumar has submitted that Delhi being the national capital has centrally funded hospitals like AIIMS and by sealing the borders, the AAP government is taking away the rights of those working in Delhi and staying in NCR towns such as Noida and Gurugram. In addition, the citizens in other states like Uttar Pradesh and Haryana are also denied the basic right to access the central hospital in Delhi.
The plea is likely to be taken up for hearing on Thursday.
