Sanjay Singh: AAP MP uses entitled air tickets to help migrants fly home | Delhi News

NEW DELHI: Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh has given up 34 air tickets, he is annually entitled to as MP, to help stranded migrant workers reach Patna from Delhi by flight. These workers are desperate to go to their hometowns where they want to unite with their family members who have also been hit by the lockdown.
“I decided to give up the flight tickets so that they can reach home fast,” said Singh. The Rajya Sabha MP will accompany 33 workers to Patna in a 5:40pm flight on Wednesday.
These migrants will fly for first time in life due to the kind gesture by the MP. The stranded workers with MP will leave for airport from North Avenue in the afternoon.
CM Arvind Kejriwal appreciated the move. “The move by Sanjay ji, will inspire all. Those blessed with resources should use them in the service of others,” Kejriwal tweeted.
An MP is entitled to 34 business class tickets in domestic flights in a year.
