Telangana Government Doctors Association threatens strike over salary revision | Hyderabad News

HYDERABAD: Telangana Government Doctors Association (TGGDA) has served a strike notice to the director of medical education, Dr K Ramesh Reddy on Wednesday, saying that they will go on strike from July 20 at Gandhi Hospital and Medical College, if the pay revision is not implemented soon.
“This is to bring to your notice that the government teaching medical and dental faculty are awaiting UGC PRC-2016 for four and a half years. The faculty has been extending service risking lives during the pandemic. Despite the valuable service, there is considerable delay in extending the UGC PRC- 2016. The file is in CM office bearing no. Memo No. 6521/ A1/ 2019. we demand for the earliest implementation, with arrears. we wish to inform that the faculty at Gandhhi medical College, Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad will be forced to commence protest from 20-7-2020 if the delay continues beyond 19-7-2020,” read the strike notice.
