Three die as MUV rams car near Salem | Salem News

SALEM: Three people, including two women, died when a multi utility vehicle rammed a car they were travelling in near Keeripatty in Salem district of Tamil Nadu on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as K Sivakumar, 46, who was a DMK worker, his wife Varalakshmi, 36, and his relative, P Shanthi, 35.
They were returning to Keeripatty from Thammampatty after purchasing jewellery.
Sivakumar and Shanthi died on the spot while Varalakshmi died while being rushed to hospital.
Three people, who were travelling in the MUV, sustained minor injuries.
The Malliyakarai police registered a case.
