Can you believe that it is already 7 years since Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor first set the screen ablaze with their electric performance in the Ayan Mukerji directorial ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’?

As the film hit the new milestone, the actress reminisced the good old days and shared her and Ranbir’s first look tests as their funloving characters. While one picture saw her posing in a golden lehenga with Ranbir in a kurta and sherwani suit, the other saw her rocking a pair of shorts and a jacket while her hunky co-star aced a casual and messy look.

Although these impressive looks didn’t make it into the film, their crackling chemistry didn’t just take over the screen, but also spilled off-screen as well. The couple not only over hearts, but also became one of the most-loved and most successful on-screen couples.

Sharing the photos, she said, “Our very first look test…”

She also went on to quote her character Naina Talwar in the caption that read, “Yaadein mithai ke dibbe ki tarah hoti hain…Ek baar khula, toh sirf ek tukda nahi kha paoge.”

Besides DP, producer Karan Johar also posted a video that featured a few stills from the film paired with instrumental music of the title track to celebrate the seven illustrious years

Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the movie also starred Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin in the lead roles.
